The impact of collagen on overall appearance is invaluable. Known as the “youth protein,” it is the primary structural component of the skin, constituting approximately 80% of its dry mass. Acceleration of performance and return to running after Achilles tendon injury
Another study found that supplementation with bioactive collagen peptides combined with calf-strengthening exercises improved ankle joint condition and faster recovery time. The study involved 18 runners unable to train due to Achilles tendon pain. The first beneficial effects were observed after 3 months of collagen intake.
